CHICAGO | Construction Inspector
A leading firm in the civil engineering sector is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector to support roadway and bridge projects throughout the Chicagoland area. This permanent position offers the chance to collaborate with experienced professionals on some of the region's most high-profile infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of civil engineering fundamentals, along with a strong drive to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to project success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate inspection activities across various transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, erosion control measures, and traffic-related field sites
- Foster strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure project timelines and contractual obligations are met
- Assess staffing needs, develop schedules, and allocate tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Provide leadership and guidance to field inspection teams
- Manage the planning and execution of complex or large-scale construction initiatives
- Support business development efforts and maintain ongoing client engagement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering
- 2+ years of related experience
- Knowledge & understanding of design standards (AASHTO, NACTO, etc.)
- Ability to operate design & drafting software's including AutoCAD 2D/3D/4D
