A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join its Philadelphia office. This role involves overseeing land development and infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, mixed-use, and logistics.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to lead complex site/civil projects from concept through completion, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects
  • Lead site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion/sediment control design
  • Maintain and grow client relationships; support business development initiatives
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective execution
  • Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, stormwater management documentation, and utility reports
  • Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, stormwater design, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with leadership to support team development and resource planning
  • Participate in client meetings and site visits as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 6+ years of experience in site/civil land development
  • Strong understanding of local permitting processes and land use regulations
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept through construction documentation
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred)
  • Experience with stormwater management design, SWPPP preparation, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
