A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join its Philadelphia office. This role involves overseeing land development and infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, mixed-use, and logistics.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to lead complex site/civil projects from concept through completion, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects
- Lead site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion/sediment control design
- Maintain and grow client relationships; support business development initiatives
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective execution
- Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, stormwater management documentation, and utility reports
- Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, stormwater design, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with leadership to support team development and resource planning
- Participate in client meetings and site visits as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 6+ years of experience in site/civil land development
- Strong understanding of local permitting processes and land use regulations
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept through construction documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred)
- Experience with stormwater management design, SWPPP preparation, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
