My client is seeking a licensed structural engineer with experience in the design of both horizontal and vertical structures. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills, excellent communication skills, and be capable of working individually or collectively with our team and clients. The candidate will work independently, manage team members, and/or work collaboratively with other staff engineers. Responsibilities will include structural engineering, analysis, and design; preparation of structural calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications; field investigations; and construction phase services. Experience performing or overseeing structural special inspections is beneficial. Participation in local associations and engineering community activities is encouraged, but not required.

Job Requirements

8 years+ of structural engineering experience

An accredited Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural design

PE licensure in the State of Arizona, SE lisencsure preferred

Ability to manage time and workload effectively, including prioritizing work, planning, and organizing

Possess good oral and written communication skills

Design experience with a variety of structural materials, including reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, wood, aluminum, etc.

Understanding and experience with the governing codes, especially IBC, ASCE7, AASHTO

Experience with design of specialty structures and/or atypical designs is highly valued

Working knowledge of structural engineering software such as RISA 3D, Enercalc, OpenBridge, Mathcad, Autocad 3D, etc.
