About the Opportunity

A fast‑growing infrastructure organization powering next‑generation AI workloads is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager, Electrical to support large‑scale, high‑performance data center deployments. The Commissioning Manager will lead the electrical commissioning program for multiple data center projects, focusing on HV, MV, and LV systems across all commissioning phases (Level 1-5). Acting as the owner's electrical commissioning lead, you will collaborate closely with general contractors, engineering partners, and equipment vendors to ensure systems meet design intent and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing & Verification: Review and support the execution of commissioning plans for HV/MV/LV electrical equipment and data center systems. Validate that systems meet performance and operational standards.
  • Documentation Oversight: Ensure thorough documentation of issues, test results, commissioning reports, and verification records.
  • Site Leadership: Perform on‑site inspections, enforce safety expectations, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
  • System Handover: Lead the final acceptance and turnover process for electrical infrastructure, ensuring readiness for production use.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct pre‑functional testing, on‑site functional testing, electrical checks, equipment adjustments, and issue diagnosis during startup.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with commissioning guidelines such as ASHRAE or BCxA standards (preferred).
  • Familiarity with InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) testing specifications.
  • Hands‑on commissioning experience with a wide range of electrical infrastructure, including but not limited to:
    Generators, Paralleling Switchgear, HV/MV/LV Transformers, UPS Systems, Battery Systems, Switchgear (HV/MV/LV), Main Switchboards, PLC Controls, EPMS, ATS/STS systems, PDUs, Busways, RPPs, grounding systems, and lighting control systems.
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical power systems and control architectures.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and technical problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with control systems and mechanical systems is a plus.
  • BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • 5+ years of mission‑critical commissioning experience, ideally in hyperscale or large‑scale data center environments.
