Commissioning Manager/Engineer
Position Overview:
Lead and support the full lifecycle of commissioning activities for data center projects. These roles involve planning, testing, and validating complex MEP systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance with client standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities across the full lifecycle of mission-critical data center projects.
- Develop and implement commissioning strategies, procedures, and test scripts for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Lead or support factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) for systems such as UPS, switchgear, chillers, HVAC, BMS, EPMS, and SCADA.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with design and operational standards.
- Conduct site inspections, prepare field reports, and generate punch lists to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution.
- Monitor and report on commissioning progress, KPIs, and quality metrics to stakeholders and management.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, project timelines, and client commissioning guidelines.
- Maintain and manage commissioning documentation and utilize commissioning management systems effectively.
- Participate in commissioning meetings, workshops, and technical reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in data center commissioning.
- For managerial roles: oversee multiple projects, lead cross-functional teams, and manage scope, schedule, and budget of commissioning programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of commissioning experience in mission-critical environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and controls.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and testing procedures.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
