As a Distribution Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the implementation of cutting-edge projects across our Transmission and Distribution team. Join a leading, multi-office consulting engineering firm with a proven track-record of expertise in power delivery and infrastructure. We're looking for a skilled and self-driven Engineer with a strong background in overhead and underground distribution design. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, make independent decisions, and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals; all while shaping the future of energy delivery and further developing your T&D engineering skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review electric distribution designs, ensuring quality and adherence to applicable codes; provide professional engineering seals as required.
  • Collaborate with clients, utilities, and stakeholders to align design and construction efforts.
  • Support project documentation, including permitting and easement acquisition.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables such as technical reports, calculations, drawings, and construction specifications.
  • Conduct field visits to assess site conditions, document observations, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining focus on budget, schedule, safety, and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, offering timely updates and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electric distribution design.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% and perform field work as needed.
