Electrical Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

Our Client is a Internationally recognised environmental engineering firm that specialises in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities.

They are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct load calculations and detailed conduit routing.
  • Design motor control centers and switchgear.
  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-10 years in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) registration required or ability to obtain upon employment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with power system applications, including:
    • Short circuit current calculations
    • Voltage drop analysis
    • Harmonic distortion
    • Power factor correction
  • Field investigative and start-up experience.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC standards.
  • Knowledge of IEEE Color Book series.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
  • Ability to interact positively with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
