My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Environmental Engineer to spearhead the growth and strategic direction of their environmental practice in Atlanta. Their primarily a Civil Engineering firm and are looking to branch into the Environmental Engineering consulting space! This is a high-impact leadership role for a seller/doer who thrives on building teams, developing client relationships, and delivering exceptional environmental solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the environmental department, including hiring, mentoring, and developing staff
- Drive business development efforts, including client engagement, proposal development, and strategic partnerships
- Oversee environmental compliance, permitting, and reporting across diverse project types
- Serve as a technical expert and project manager on complex environmental initiatives
- Ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction across all deliverables
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align department goals with broader business objectives
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering
- Proven leadership experience, including team management and strategic planning
- Strong track record in business development and client relationship management
- Expertise in environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
