Location: Jacksonville, FL
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead complex environmental projects from concept through completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and client engagement skills to deliver high-quality outcomes across a diverse portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring safe, timely, and budget-conscious delivery.
- Develop and oversee project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and risk strategies.
- Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments and ensure regulatory compliance at all levels.
- Coordinate with clients, teams, subcontractors, and consultants to align objectives and manage expectations.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and financials, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Lead meetings, facilitate decision-making, and maintain organized documentation for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior staff and promote best practices in project execution and collaboration.
- Support business development through proposal writing, scope definition, and client presentations.
- Resolve escalated issues and drive continuous improvement in project management processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Science.
- 7+ years of project management experience in environmental, engineering, or construction sectors.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing teams and vendors.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to job sites and regional offices.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Travel Requirements
This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs.
