Federal Project Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Federal Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects contracted by federal agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and government contracting. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with federal standards and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage federal construction projects from initiation through completion.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FAR, Davis-Bacon Act, and OSHA.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate with government representatives, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
Prepare and submit required documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure timely procurement of materials and services in accordance with federal guidelines.
Oversee contract administration and ensure all deliverables meet contractual obligations.
Lead project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 2 years in federal projects.
Strong knowledge of federal contracting processes and regulations.
PMP or CCM certification preferred.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.


Preferred Experience:

Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, or other federal agencies.
Familiarity with LEED certification and sustainable building practices.
Working knowledge of cost estimating and value engineering.
