Field Service Representative

Role Overview

This role supports the operation, commissioning, and optimization of decentralized water treatment systems across multiple U.S. sites. The Field Operations Specialist will lead site upgrades, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards. The position includes remote oversight and periodic travel to active installations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field execution for system commissioning, upgrades, and retrofits
  • Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and PFDs for construction and maintenance
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and vendors to resolve technical issues
  • Track project progress and report weekly to senior operations leadership
  • Support functional and performance testing during commissioning
  • Maintain and calibrate pumps, valves, chemical dosing systems, and instrumentation
  • Respond to system alarms and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues
  • Document work and provide technical summaries to internal teams and clients
  • Contribute to the development of operating protocols and training materials

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years operating industrial or municipal water/wastewater systems
  • Experience with MBR, RO, anaerobic/aerobic treatment, and solids separation
  • Familiarity with skidded systems, process controls, and instrumentation
  • Ability to read and apply P&IDs and PFDs
  • Hands-on experience with lab sampling and water quality analysis
  • Working knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition, Allen-Bradley)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or technical certification in engineering, environmental science, or related field
  • Wastewater operator license (Class I or II) or ability to obtain
  • Experience in food & beverage or industrial wastewater sectors
  • Familiarity with membrane cleaning, biomass management, and safety protocols
