Role Overview

The Fire Protection Division Manager is responsible for leading and managing both office and field operations to ensure alignment with departmental goals and company objectives. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, project oversight, and client relationship management, with a strong emphasis on Fire Alarm systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Staffing

    • Plan, organize, and staff key positions across office and field teams.
    • Direct and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective collaboration between office and field personnel.
    • Manage recruitment, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and compensation decisions.
  • Project & Operational Oversight

    • Define project scopes, objectives, schedules, budgets, and personnel assignments.
    • Monitor departmental progress and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
    • Develop and enforce departmental standards and procedures to maintain high-quality output.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Foster strong relationships with clients, internal teams, executives, and peers.
    • Understand client organizations and decision-making processes to support strategic initiatives and presentations.
    • Lead efforts to resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Financial Management

    • Maintain a positive financial posture for the department.
    • Track and report project costs, budgets, and related documentation.
    • Analyze departmental P&L statements to inform strategic decisions.
  • Technical Expertise

    • Provide expert-level support in Fire Alarm estimating and project management.
    • Lead quality assurance initiatives to support service agreement renewals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • NICET Certification in Fire Alarm/Special Hazard Systems.
  • Proven experience in Fire Alarm design and field operations.
  • Strong understanding of Fire Protection systems and commercial management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass background and drug screening.
