They are seeking a skilled and driven Geotechnical Engineer to join our Idaho Falls office. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure and land development projects across the Intermountain West.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations including subsurface exploration, lab testing programs, and site characterization.
- Develop engineering analyses for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, settlement, and seismic response.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, design memos, and construction recommendations.
- Serve as a technical lead on projects, coordinating with civil, structural, and environmental teams.
- Provide oversight during construction phases, including field inspections and contractor coordination.
- Manage client relationships, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training and development initiatives.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum 6 years of geotechnical engineering experience, ideally in consulting.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., LPILE, SLOPE/W, gINT, GeoStudio).
- Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead projects independently and collaborate across disciplines.
