Geotechnical Project Manager
Location: Fairfax or Richmond, VA (Hybrid Work Available)

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Project Manager to join a growing team supporting a wide range of transportation, transit, and environmental infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for solving complex geotechnical challenges.
You'll work on diverse projects including bridges, retaining walls, slopes, pavements, utilities, and ground improvement, collaborating across disciplines and contributing to both design and field operations. The role offers a balance of technical leadership, client interaction, and hands-on project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical and pavement design efforts across Virginia
- Manage subsurface exploration programs and field investigations
- Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and construction documents
- Support client relationships and contribute to proposal development
- Foster innovative design approaches to improve project efficiency
- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5-10 years of geotechnical design experience (VDOT experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, LPile, Slide, Slope/W)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
