Position Overview:
A nationally recognized, employee-owned engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Highway Project Manager to lead the delivery of transportation projects in the Lexington region. This role involves managing scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Lead the preparation of project management plans and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee technical staff and manage project resources effectively.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Support marketing and proposal development efforts.
- Participate in client presentations and business development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in highway/roadway design and project management.
- Experience with local and state transportation agencies (e.g., KYTC).
- Proficiency in project delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
