Hydrologic / Hydrology Engineer - Municipal Engineering Department
We are seeking a team member with 5+ years of experience in Hydrology to join our Municipal Engineering Department. This position offers opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement. Our team works on projects that directly impact local communities, providing a range of municipal engineering and planning services across urban, suburban, and rural environments.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and in-office, depending on project needs and fieldwork requirements.
Position Summary
The Hydrologic / Hydrology Engineer will apply expertise in the distribution, circulation, and physical properties of underground and surface waters.
Primary Duties
- Design of stormwater management systems and basins
- Development of detention/retention systems
- Familiarity with green infrastructure practices
- Preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic studies
- Permitting processes
- Use of PMP Manual
- Creation of TIN CAD surfaces in Civil3D
- Proficiency in software such as PondPack, StormCAD, and/or HydroCAD
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to draft technical reports with illustrations, maps, and appendices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency in stormwater modeling software and Microsoft Office Suite
Education, Experience & Licenses
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits and client meetings
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to conduct fieldwork and traverse various terrains
- Frequent computer use
- Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $100,000 - $170,000 (based on role, experience, and location)
