Industrial Mechanical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout of industrial equipment to ensure safe operation and maintenance accessibility.
- Develop process piping systems in accordance with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 standards.
- Perform pipe stress analysis and support design using industry-standard tools.
- Size and select pumps and other mechanical equipment based on process requirements.
- Design industrial machinery including conveyors, drivetrains, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with clients and vendors to specify and select appropriate industrial equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain professional conduct in heavy industrial environments.
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and vendors to resolve design issues and produce construction-ready plans.
- Adapt to a wide range of project types and industries, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to engineering and construction phases of industrial projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial mechanical design or engineering.
- Familiarity with ASME piping codes and industrial safety practices.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience with CAD software and pipe stress analysis tools is a plus.
- Prior experience in industrial project engineering or construction is preferred.
