Interior Designer
About the Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Baltimore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing interior design projects across various sectors, including education, retail and hospitality spaces. This role involves collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver aesthetically pleasing and functional environments that meet client specifications and adhere to building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and 3D renderings for client approval.
Select and source materials, furnishings, lighting, and decor items that align with the design vision and quality standards.
Create detailed interior design plans, including layouts, color schemes, and material specifications.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Oversee the installation and implementation of design plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging materials, and design innovations to continually enhance design capabilities.
Ensure compliance with safety and building codes throughout all design processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong understanding of spatial arrangements, color theory, and design principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ) is a plus.
