About the Role
We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join a global investment team working on domestic and cross‑border energy and infrastructure projects. Based in Tokyo, this role offers hands‑on exposure to international transactions and the opportunity to develop strong financial modelling, commercial judgement, and business acumen in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment.
This position is ideal for a self‑starter who is intellectually curious, commercially minded, and eager to take increasing responsibility across the investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models (cash flow, valuation, sensitivity and scenario analysis) to support investment decisions
- Support the evaluation, structuring, and execution of cross‑border investment opportunities
- Assist with investment memoranda, presentations, and materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct commercial, financial, and market analysis across energy and infrastructure sectors
- Support transaction execution, including due diligence, documentation, and coordination with advisors and internal teams
- Work closely with global colleagues across multiple geographies and time zones
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Interest in developing commercial awareness and business acumen beyond pure analysis
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Fluent Japanese and business‑level English
- Based in Tokyo
Preferred Experience
- 1-5 years of experience in investment analysis, project finance, consulting, banking, trading house, or infrastructure / energy related roles
- Exposure to cross‑border projects or international stakeholders
- Prior experience in energy, renewables, or infrastructure is an advantage, but not essential
