Role Summary
The Process Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on P&ID development, instrumentation, and process control. This role bridges mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, and automation to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for manufacturing and filtration systems
* Design and refine process flows for resin infusion, curing, and pressure vessel assembly
* Specify and integrate instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure sensors, and control valves
* Collaborate with automation teams to implement PLC-based control systems
* Conduct HAZOP and FMEA analyses to identify and mitigate risks
* Support commissioning and troubleshooting of new equipment and production lines
* Ensure compliance with relevant ASME, ISO, and environmental standards
* Document process parameters, control logic, and operational procedures
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering
* 3+ years of experience in process engineering with a focus on P&ID and instrumentation
* Proficiency in AutoCAD P&ID, SolidWorks, or similar design software
* Experience with FRP manufacturing, resin systems, and pressure vessel standards
* Familiarity with industrial automation, PLCs, and SCADA systems
* Strong analytical and documentation skills
Preferred Skills
* Background in water treatment or membrane filtration systems
* Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section X and ISO 9001 standards
* Multilingual (Spanish or Japanese) for international collaboration
