Role Responsibilities
Assist in field investigations related to Local Law 126 inspections and structural forensic evaluations.
Contribute to the assessment, design, and documentation of structural repairs and restorations, particularly for parking garages and other reinforced concrete or steel structures.
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications under the supervision of senior engineers.
Participate in site visits and inspections to collect data, photograph conditions, and support senior staff in developing engineering solutions.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other consultants during project execution.
Maintain knowledge of relevant NYC building codes and local laws affecting structural integrity and restoration.
Role Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).
2-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, ideally with exposure to parking garage restoration or structural forensic work.
Familiarity with Local Laws 126, 11 or similar NYC compliance regulations is preferred.
Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, STAAD) and AutoCAD. Revit experience a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple priorities.
EIT certification required; PE licensure (or on track) is a plus.
