Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in land development engineering, including site layout, grading, and utility design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- Strong understanding of local zoning, permitting, and development regulations in DC/MD/VA or relevant regions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of engineering design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for site development projects.
- Perform grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion/sediment control calculations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, senior engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Support permitting efforts by preparing and submitting necessary documents to local and state agencies.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on design and engineering tasks.
- Manage multiple project timelines and coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders.
