Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead and manage surveying operations across a variety of land development, infrastructure, and transportation projects in the Savannah region. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in both field and office environments and is passionate about delivering accurate, high-quality survey data.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

Prepare and review survey plats, legal descriptions, and reports.

Field Operations

Supervise and coordinate field crews, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Conduct site visits and fieldwork as needed to verify data and resolve issues.

Utilize GPS, robotic total stations, and other modern survey equipment.

Technical & Legal Compliance

Ensure all survey work complies with state and local regulations.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for legal and engineering use.

Certify survey documents and provide expert input on property boundaries and easements.

Client & Team Collaboration

Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and local agencies.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.

Participate in proposal development and client presentations.

Qualifications:

Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Georgia.

Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of professional surveying experience.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and other survey software.

Strong understanding of land use laws, zoning, and property records.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
