Lead Substation Engineer
We have a current opportunity for a Substation Lead Engineer P.E or P.Eng on a permanent basis.
This is a fully remote role, with the flexibility to access a local office if desired. You'll be collaborating with a talented group of professionals located across the United States and Canada.
Key Requirements:
- Must hold a valid P.E. (Professional Engineer) license or P.Eng (Professional Engineer in Canada) designation.
We are currently seeking a Lead Electrical Substation Design Engineer for our Power Division. The candidate will work remotely with a group located across the United States and Canada. Responsibilities:
- Assigns and outlines work, advises on technical problems, and reviews work for technical accuracy and adequacy.
- Coordinates with Clients define project direction, provide status reports, and obtain information required by the team.
- Leads a team of technical experts to complete projects that meet client requirements while respecting budgets,
- Reviews and prepares technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical requirements.
- Prepares proposal writeups and estimates based on client Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Develops, approves, and co-ordinates work schedules to ensure that objectives of cost, quality, and time are met.
- Requires effective working relationships with colleagues, officials, and associates for the purpose of discussing design problems, explaining design features and specifications, and other project control criteria.
- Establishes and maintains client contacts to seek or provide technical information related to the immediate project.
- Analyses problems, organizes investigations, and determines specific design criteria.
- Makes commitments on acceptance of projects, completion dates, resources and staff required to meet objectives.
