Manager, External and Regulatory Affairs
A leading clean energy company with a strong presence in the Northeast is seeking a Manager of External and Regulatory Affairs to join its External Affairs team. This position is based in the Greater Boston area and reports to the Vice President of External & Regulatory Affairs. The role focuses on executing, managing, and coordinating regulatory strategy and advocacy across PJM, MISO, SPP, and other emerging markets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the execution of regulatory strategy across ISO/RTO footprints, including market design initiatives and interconnection activities.
- Participate in stakeholder proceedings to advance company objectives.
- Manage external consultants and support teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Represent the company in relevant trade associations.
- Monitor and engage in key state and local legislative initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree.
- 5+ years of experience in electricity generation or wholesale marketing.
- Strong understanding of Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs).
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow within the team.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets.
- Willingness to travel 20-30%.
- Must pass a pre-employment background and financial credit check.
