Mechanical Estimator - Illinois

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in securing exciting new projects across a wide range of sectors including commercial buildings, high-rises, hospitals, educational facilities, research labs, data centers, and more.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze and interpret contract plans and specifications
- Identify scope of work for self-perform and subcontracting
- Determine required materials and equipment
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for bids
- Use estimating software and historical data to prepare accurate project estimates
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and verify plan accuracy
- Prepare bid proposals, scope letters, and ensure all documentation is complete
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and strategy sessions
- Lead project turnover meetings for successful bids
- Support change order estimates and value engineering efforts
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience estimating mechanical scopes (sheet metal and/or piping)
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction methods and materials
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to learn and grow across all mechanical disciplines
