About the Role
A nationally respected, employee-owned design practice is seeking a Senior Urban Design Project Manager to lead transformative planning and design projects across the U.S. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of cities and communities through inclusive, resilient, and visionary urban design. Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage complex urban design and planning projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, innovation, and timely delivery.
- Team Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, providing direction, mentorship, and support to junior staff.
- Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, delivering tailored solutions and building lasting relationships.
- Design & Strategy: Develop compelling, context-sensitive design strategies and technical solutions that reflect the unique character of each community.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate engagement with public and private stakeholders to ensure inclusive and equitable planning outcomes.
- Deliverables: Produce high-quality reports, presentations, graphics, and planning documents that communicate vision and strategy effectively.

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in urban planning, urban design, or landscape architecture
- A strong portfolio demonstrating impactful work in the public realm or community planning
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, teams, and client relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS
- AICP certification strongly preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- A passion for creating equitable, sustainable, and people-centered places
