They are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Massachusetts. This is a unique opportunity to lead complex projects in mission critical environments-such as data centers and secure facilities-while contributing to cutting-edge designs that shape the built environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and controls, backup power (UPS/generators), and renewable energy systems.
- Focus on mission critical and life science projects, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct site surveys, and manage client relationships.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics; develop detailed documentation for complex power systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers in system layout and design best practices.
- Participate in client and project meetings, collaborating with architects, developers, and owners.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and code compliance documentation.
- Conduct construction inspections, submittal reviews, and punch list observations.
- Stay current with evolving codes, technologies, and mission critical standards.
What You Bring
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 7+ years of experience in electrical systems design for mission critical, life science, commercial, or institutional facilities.
- Strong knowledge of building, electrical, and energy codes.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience mentoring junior staff.
Preferred:
- PE license (or ability to obtain).
- 10+ years of experience with mission critical power systems (e.g., data centers).
- LEED, WELL, or other industry certifications.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Project management experience.
- Willingness to travel for site visits.
