Modeling Analyst - Renewable Development

Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Development Analyst to join a leading independent power producer focused on renewable energy and advanced power generation projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial modeling skills who is eager to gain exposure to the full lifecycle of project development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support project evaluation, development, and investment decisions.
  • Analyze project economics, sensitivities, and risk factors to inform strategic development decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to provide financial insights and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal approvals, investor presentations, and financing activities.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics impacting project viability.
  • Support due diligence efforts for new projects and acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial modeling, project finance, or energy development.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques; experience with renewable energy or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
