Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and oversee construction of municipal infrastructure projects including roadways, stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, and water distribution systems.
- Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with local government agencies, utility companies, and contractors to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and field investigations to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Assist in public meetings and presentations to communicate project goals and updates to stakeholders and community members.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; PE license in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain within 6 months) is required.
- 4+ years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A valid driver's license is required.
