National Environmental Practice Lead

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic and visionary National Environmental Practice Lead to oversee and expand our environmental services portfolio across California and nationally. This executive-level role will drive strategic growth, ensure technical excellence, and lead a high-performing team of environmental professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and growth of the environmental practice across California and nationally.
  • Oversee complex, multi-disciplinary projects involving CEQA/NEPA, air quality, GHG, remediation, water quality, and climate adaptation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, regulatory agencies (e.g., CARB, DTSC, RWQCB), and industry partners.
  • Provide executive oversight on project delivery, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Mentor senior staff and foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence.
  • Represent the firm in industry associations, conferences, and public forums.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of California environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Proven track record of business development and client leadership across sectors.
  • Professional licensure (e.g., PE, PG, AICP) strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
