MEP Construction Manager (Owner's Representative)

Location: Indiana (Hybrid - Weekly Site Presence Required)
Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 + Benefits

Overview

We are working with a leading data center developer seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager (Owner's Representative) to support the delivery of large-scale, hyperscale data center projects across Indiana.

This is a client-side position, acting as the Owner's Representative, responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of MEP construction - ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with technical specifications and operational standards.

This role offers a hybrid working model, with regular site presence required each week, and will suit individuals open to travel across active project locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Owner's representative, ensuring alignment with project goals, standards, and timelines
  • Oversee all MEP construction activities, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover
  • Manage and monitor general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Track and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Support commissioning and turnover processes, ensuring systems meet operational requirements


Requirements

  • 3+ years of hyperscale data center construction experience
  • Strong background in MEP construction management within mission critical environments
  • Previous experience working in an Owner's Representative, client-side, or consultancy role preferred
  • Proven track record managing large-scale or complex projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in critical facilities
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contractor performance
  • Willingness to travel as required across project sites
