A leading provider of water and process technology solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Project Controls Engineer to support planning and scheduling efforts for large-scale industrial projects. Role Summary
The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and supporting cost control activities. This role involves close collaboration with project managers and engineering teams to ensure timely execution and accurate reporting. The position is based in-office with standard weekday hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6
- Perform time impact and delay analysis
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and report deviations
- Analyze productivity trends and forecast schedule impacts
- Support cost tracking, budgeting, and accruals
- Convert project estimates into budgets and collect cost data
- Assist project managers with financial projections and reporting
- Prepare status reports and attend project meetings
- Review schedules submitted by external contributors
- Archive actual schedule data for future reference
- Train and support team members in scheduling tools and practices
- Provide general project management support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3+ years of experience in industrial construction or EPC projects
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and Access preferred
- Experience with scheduling systems and cost control tools
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with water/wastewater projects is a plus
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
