Professional Drainage Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Drainage Engineer to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hydrology, stormwater management, and civil infrastructure design, along with a passion for sustainable and resilient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze drainage systems for public and private infrastructure projects.
- Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic models using industry-standard software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, Civil 3D).
- Develop construction documents, technical reports, and permit applications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and urban planners.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess drainage performance and construction progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in drainage or water resources engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and drainage modeling software.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Familiarity with FEMA floodplain regulations and local stormwater ordinances.
