Professional Engineer - Water Resources (Palisade, CO)

Join a collaborative team dedicated to creating better communities through innovative infrastructure solutions. We're seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to support water resource infrastructure planning and design in our Palisade office, located in western Colorado.

This role involves working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients on a variety of technical tasks including design and modeling, preparation of construction plans and specifications, contract documents, and construction management.

Key Projects May Include:

  • Large-diameter pipeline design
  • River diversion structures
  • Reservoir rehabilitation
  • Water conservation initiatives
  • On-farm irrigation systems
  • Water rights projects

You'll also have opportunities to support other offices and disciplines such as wastewater, transportation, and more. We're looking for a motivated professional eager to grow their career within a dynamic and experienced team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and implement water, wastewater, irrigation, and stormwater infrastructure projects
  • Contribute to all phases of project planning, design, and construction
  • Analyze engineering data and make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers
  • Coordinate with government agencies for permits and approvals
  • Facilitate public meetings and forums
  • Conduct meetings with consultants, contractors, clients, and agencies
  • Utilize tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, WaterCAD, and InfoSWMM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Agricultural, or Water Resources Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Minimum of four years of engineering experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and hydraulic modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Grant application/administration and NEPA documentation experience are a plus

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000, depending on experience
