Project Architect
One of Detroit's most innovative and impactful Architectural Design firms is looking for their next Project Architect! This firm provides cutting edge Cultural, Community, Public Use, Housing, and Branded Environments projects to Greater Detroit, the broader United States, and even International markets. The eventually hired Project Architect would be tasked with leading the design and delivery of important Affordable Housing projects before being integrated into other project spaces. Ideally, this Architect would have education or experience in wood-frame projects, and bring a forward-thinking mindset with interest in computational design, design technology, and the delivery of projects that have a positive impact on the communities. Responsibilities:
- Drive project development from initial concept to final completion by setting and achieving project milestones, crafting visually stunning presentations and documentation for each design phase, and overseeing construction to ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule.
- Collaborate seamlessly with all disciplines to create holistic design solutions, clearly conveying design visions to the entire project team, clients, and key stakeholders through both visual and verbal communication.
- Deliver design solutions that align with project goals and minimize risks, while maintaining a keen sensitivity to design quality and direction.
- Address all code and life safety issues throughout the design process, coordinating effectively with internal teams and external consultants.
- Partner with the Senior Project Architect to provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their growth and development.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of industry experience is preferred; minimum of 5 years
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite products; Rhino & Grashopper experience preferred
- Architectural Registration preferred but not required; must be eligible to pursue licensure
- LEED or WELL accreditation preferred
