Role Summary
The Project Engineer will support proposal development, process design, project execution, and internal engineering initiatives. This role involves cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership across departments, with a focus on wastewater treatment systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform process engineering tasks for wastewater treatment system design
- Develop project specifications, submittals, and technical documentation
- Create plan and detail drawings for equipment and system layouts
- Assist in preparing bids, cost estimates, and budgets
- Monitor and troubleshoot existing installations to identify improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to develop solutions
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineering staff
- Support internal R&D and process development initiatives
- Participate in project startup and fieldwork as needed (limited travel)
- Contribute to continuous improvement and organizational growth
- Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in wastewater treatment
- Experience with lagoon-based systems is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and AutoCAD
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage data and technical documentation
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with equipment such as blowers and controls
- Experience supporting projects from concept through execution
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across departments
