Job Summary

My client is seeking a Project Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Hydrogeologist to join its collaborative team in Miami, FL. This individual will play a key role in managing environmental investigation and remediation projects, delivering technically excellent services, preparing proposals and reports, conducting environmental research and analyses, supervising field investigations, and mentoring staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work on both small and large-scale projects while developing project and staff management skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects, including groundwater and soil assessments.
  • Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects.
  • Supervise field activities and ensure accurate interpretation of findings.
  • Manage and deliver multiple projects within defined budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Prepare and edit technical proposals, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including client meetings and proposal development.
  • Provide direct oversight and mentorship to junior staff; participate in interviewing and hiring.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across office locations and disciplines.
  • Interface professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology (Master's degree a plus).
  • LEED AP or PE certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
  • Proficient in environmental due diligence and quantitative/technical analyses.
  • HAZWOPER training and current certification (including annual physical and respirator fit test).
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients, develop budgets, and coach staff.
  • Willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits.
