An established engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to support site investigation and remediation projects for industrial, commercial, and municipal clients across Southern California.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations including soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and stormwater sampling.
- Operate and maintain remediation systems such as soil vapor extraction (SVE), air sparging, vapor intrusion mitigation, and NAPL recovery.
- Oversee subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project scopes and safety protocols.
- Analyze environmental data and develop conceptual site models to support risk assessments and remedial strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design remediation systems and prepare technical documentation.
- Perform construction quality assurance (CQA) observations and support system installations.
- Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Draft technical reports, work plans, and regulatory deliverables.
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, and task management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 3-7 years of experience in environmental consulting, site remediation, or related engineering work.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or intent to pursue PE licensure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fieldwork experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on hazardous waste sites.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work 10-hour field days as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a desire for professional growth and learning.
