Project Manager, Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Project Manager - Civil Engineer with strong technical and leadership skills to join our growing team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled professionals on diverse and challenging environmental and geotechnical projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Our team includes engineers, geologists, and scientists who support a wide range of clients on projects involving site civil/geotechnical design, water resources management, waste management, remediation, and contaminated site management.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for civil engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Prepare construction documentation and regulatory reports as EOR.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil3D for civil design and drafting.
  • Perform earthwork contouring and volume calculations.
  • Develop engineering cost estimates and bid documentation.
  • Prepare NPDES permit applications for stormwater and water treatment systems.
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders during construction.
  • Design and evaluate stormwater and wastewater pumping and treatment systems.
  • Work with piping, valving, and instrumentation/control systems.
  • Model hydraulic piping systems (e.g., PipeFlo) and perform associated calculations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding and anticipating client needs.
  • Ensure projects meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling goals.
  • Mentor junior staff and manage project teams effectively.
  • Oversee quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Plan and direct environmental field observation and testing programs.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in New York State.
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of environmental and civil engineering experience in New York State.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software and strong computer literacy.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
  • Familiarity with earthwork, site/civil, geotechnical, and stormwater aspects of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Experience in engineering design for site-civil and geo-environmental projects in sectors such as development, heavy industry, and waste management.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000 annually, based on education, experience, certifications, skills, and market conditions.
  • Compensation is reviewed quarterly to ensure market competitiveness.
