Salary: $135,000-$185,000 + benefits
A respected heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support and lead DOT transportation projects in the Pacific Northwest. This role will be based out of the Vancouver, WA area and will focus on managing complex roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure work from preconstruction through close‑out.
The ideal candidate has prior experience working on DOT‑funded projects on the contractor or general contractor side, with strong exposure to schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and agency coordination.
Experience Needed
- Project management experience on DOT transportation projects
- Background with heavy civil construction, including roadway, highway, paving, structures, or utilities
- Experience working for a general contractor or heavy civil contractor
- Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Experience coordinating with DOT inspectors, consultants, and internal field teams
- Exposure to subcontractor management and self‑perform operations preferred
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management
- Prior experience with WSDOT, ODOT, or other DOT agencies strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of DOT specifications, pay items, and reporting requirements
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
