We're seeking a talented Project Manager to oversee electric transmission line and substation construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values safety and quality, and enjoys leading teams to deliver complex utility projects on time and within budget.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate all phases of utility construction projects, ensuring alignment with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Interface with clients, field crews, union representatives, and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and performance goals.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates, including drawing take-offs for electrical utility projects.
  • Manage project budgets, forecast profitability, and report financial performance.
  • Oversee job setup processes including safety plans, scheduling, cost codes, billing, and tooling.
  • Evaluate and adjust project plans to maintain timelines and budget targets.
  • Quote and process change orders from RFIs, drawing changes, and client requests.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field teams while ensuring compliance with company and contract standards.
  • Present project updates and expectations to internal teams and clients.
  • Travel regionally to support project execution and team coordination.

What You'll Bring

  • 4-7 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or Engineering within the utility construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present to groups of 20-40 people.
  • Proven ability to manage project financials and drive results.
  • Deep understanding of utility construction practices, especially in transmission, substation, and distribution.
  • Experience working with union labor and navigating labor agreements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, and other project management tools.
  • BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
