💧 Senior Project Manager - Water & Wastewater Systems
Location: Remote (Preferred: Mountain West Region)
Compensation: $130,000-$180,000+ base salary, plus benefits and bonuses
🧭 Role Overview
An engineering consultancy is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with over a decade of experience in leading water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for guiding projects from initial client engagement through design, execution, and final commissioning. The role involves direct client interaction, oversight of technical teams, and management of complex budgets. Candidates should possess strong technical expertise, business development acumen, and leadership capabilities.
Remote work is available, though preference may be given to candidates located in or near the Mountain West region. Flexible arrangements, including part-time employment, may be considered for candidates with an existing client base.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of water and wastewater projects for municipal and industrial clients
* Manage project scope, schedule, and budget across multiple concurrent assignments
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and successful outcomes
* Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and identify new business opportunities
* Supervise and mentor junior staff and coordinate with external consultants
* Attend industry events and conferences to support marketing and client outreach
* Provide construction-phase support including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and change order coordination
* Travel occasionally (up to six times annually) for client meetings and marketing efforts
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (or related field)
* Professional Engineer (PE) license required
* Familiarity with design software such as Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Revit (preferred)
* Experience with hydraulic and process modeling tools like BioWin, WaterCAD, or Flowmaster (preferred)
* Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
* Proven ability to manage large-scale engineering budgets and deliverables
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
