Project Manager - Hydraulic Modeler
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hydraulicmodeling and analysis for:
- Drinking water distribution systems
- Wastewater and stormwater collection systems
- Associated facilities such as pump stations and reservoirs
- Manage and contribute to the preparation of comprehensive plans, reports, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on water, wastewater, stormwater, and irrigation projects
- Engage with clients and regulatory or review agencies
- Mentor and guide junior engineering staff (e.g., Engineers-in-Training)
- Support business development initiatives, including expanding services and client relationships
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity)
- Approximately 8+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in consulting environments serving public sector clients
- Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software for water and wastewater systems (various industry-standard tools)
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Strong technical writing, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and deliver high-quality outputs
- Experience coordinating with engineers, agencies, and stakeholders
- Familiarity with project proposals, budgeting, and invoice review
Compensation
- Competitive compensation ranging approximately from $130,000 to $170,000, depending on experience and qualifications
- Overtime at 1.5x base rate for eligible hours
- Performance-based bonus structure tied to individual and organizational performance
