ABOUT THE COMPANY
A well-established Massachusetts-based contractor specializing in electrical utility and renewable energy projects is seeking a full-time Project Manager. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions, the company focuses on utility distribution, substation construction, and solar field development across the region.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Manager, you will oversee multiple ground-up construction projects ranging from under $1M to $25M. These include electrical utility distribution, substation builds, and solar field installations. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all phases of project construction and execution
- Provide direction and leadership to project teams
- Manage day-to-day operations and ensure project milestones are met
- Coordinate and attend planning, pre-design, and design meetings
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with codes and contract requirements
- Review submittals, monitor schedules, and manage delivery timelines
- Maintain thorough documentation of project plans, specifications, and changes
- Track project progress against goals, timelines, and budgets
- Monitor and manage project expenses to stay within budget
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management
(Medium to high voltage transmission, substation, or solar experience preferred) - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
- Experience with construction management software (Primavera preferred)
- Strong communication skills with a professional, clear approach
- Familiarity with CPM scheduling, RFIs, submittals, payment analysis, and site coordination
- OSHA safety training preferred
- Experience with large-scale facilities and/or federal/state contracts is a plus
