Quality Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Quality Manager to lead and enhance quality assurance across our regional projects. This role is critical in ensuring that our supply chain, subcontractors, and internal teams consistently meet high-quality standards, reduce defect-related costs, and improve client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Oversight
- Oversee quality performance across all projects and departments.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and international standards (e.g., ISO, API, ASME).
- Be present on-site with subcontractors to monitor and enforce quality standards.
Quality System Implementation
- Develop and implement a robust ISO 9001:2015-based Quality Management System (QMS).
- Define and document clear quality policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
- Create and maintain SOPs across departments.
- Conduct regular internal audits and management reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring
- Define and track KPIs.
- Review quality metrics monthly and initiate corrective actions where needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align engineering, procurement, production, and QA/QC teams from project initiation.
- Facilitate Quality Gate meetings at key milestones (e.g., design freeze, pre-fabrication, pre-shipment).
- Use shared quality dashboards to improve transparency and accountability.
Subcontractor & Supplier Management
- Manage and audit supply and subcontracting processes.
- Use vendor scorecards based on delivery performance, defect rate, and documentation accuracy.
- Collaborate on CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) plans for recurring quality issues.
- Develop and uplift underperforming vendors through structured engagement.
Training & Culture
- Conduct regular training in:
- Quality standards (ISO, API, ASME)
- Technical skills (welding, NDT, inspection methods)
- Problem-solving tools (5 Whys, RCA, FMEA)
- Promote a "quality ownership" culture-quality is everyone's responsibility.
- Recognize and reward teams for outstanding quality performance.
- Launch a Quality Suggestion Scheme for continuous improvement ideas.
- Embed a "zero defect mindset" into onboarding and leadership development.
Digital Transformation
- Digitize quality records (e.g., inspection checklists, NCRs).
- Implement a centralized Document Control System to manage drawings, procedures, and revisions.
- Automate QA reporting and dashboard tracking for real-time decision-making.
