REMOTE Land Development Project Manager

A land development engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager to lead private-sector development projects in a fully remote environment. This role is centered on client relationships, clear communication, and disciplined project execution.

The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and is responsible for managing scope, schedule, coordination, and quality across disciplines. Success comes from reliability, technical judgment, and the ability to earn long-term client trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client contact across multiple land development projects in the commercial space
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables in a remote setting
  • Lead virtual meetings and maintain clear, proactive communication
  • Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants
  • Oversee QA/QC for civil design deliverables, including grading, drainage, water, sewer, and dry utilities
  • Review plans for constructability, code compliance, and consistency with client expectations
  • Identify risks early and drive practical, cost-aware solutions
  • Support repeat business through strong client retention and referral-based growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer license
  • 6 plus years of experience in land development consulting
  • Proven experience overseeing civil design QA/QC for site development projects
  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing projects remotely or with distributed teams
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
