My client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Junior Transportation Engineer with 3+ years of experience to support roadway and infrastructure projects across Illinois. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of transportation projects including roadways, intersections, and utility coordination.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with IDOT and local agency standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on design tasks and project execution.
- Support Federal Aid project documentation and coordination.
- Participate in field reviews, data collection, and technical analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with IDOT standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
