Sales Director
Reporting to the Business Development Director, your strategic objective will be to lead and manage sales and marketing activities predominantly in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, and Life Sciences sectors in North America, based in New Jersey or Chicago. Some activities in the Food and Beverage sector will also be part of the role. You will be responsible for delivering a sales budget aligned with the strategic plan for the region.
We are seeking a commercially focused, proactive, hands-on, and dynamic Account Lead to grow sales in this key strategic sector. This is an opportunity to join an established consultancy services market leader entering its next phase of development, scaling its existing client portfolio and acquiring new global, multi-site, multi-region industrial manufacturing customers.
Key Responsibilities
Business / Commercial / Financial Success
- Drive business growth and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
- Deliver business plans, budgets, and forecasts; meet or exceed sales targets.
- Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
- Promote brand awareness and pursue new clients in target sectors.
- Forecast sales and cash flows accurately; enhance financial results through technology and process improvements.
Business Planning
- Develop and execute North American business strategies for long-term sustainability.
- Manage commercial administrative tasks and monitor market trends.
- Support operational expansion and resource allocation in collaboration with the Operations team.
- Implement strategic and operating plans; set and meet budgets while enhancing market position.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in roles such as Account Director, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or Commercial Manager.
- Experience in scaling consultancy services for clients in Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, and Life Sciences sectors.
- Proven success in tendering, negotiating, and closing deals.
