About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading organization in the land development sector, for an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse urban development projects within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver civil design solutions for urban development projects, including roads, lot grading, and drainage infrastructure.
- Prepare documentation and design using 12D and AutoCAD (essential), with knowledge of XP-Rafts, DRAINS, TUFLOW, and MUSIC (desirable).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Coordinate design and drafting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage project budgets, invoicing, and quality control processes.
- Contribute to the development of innovative design methodologies and company standards.
- Assist with fee proposals and contract variations across multiple disciplines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of civil engineering design experience in land development.
- Advanced proficiency in 12D and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of hydrological and hydraulic design principles.
- Familiarity with Australian standards and local authority requirements.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in residential subdivision design and stormwater management (desirable).
