Senior Civil Design Engineer

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading organization in the land development sector, for an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse urban development projects within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver civil design solutions for urban development projects, including roads, lot grading, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Prepare documentation and design using 12D and AutoCAD (essential), with knowledge of XP-Rafts, DRAINS, TUFLOW, and MUSIC (desirable).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Coordinate design and drafting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage project budgets, invoicing, and quality control processes.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative design methodologies and company standards.
  • Assist with fee proposals and contract variations across multiple disciplines.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years of civil engineering design experience in land development.
  • Advanced proficiency in 12D and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of hydrological and hydraulic design principles.
  • Familiarity with Australian standards and local authority requirements.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in residential subdivision design and stormwater management (desirable).
